CONCEPT

We aim at redefining some of the parameters which best describe the six most important features of Smart Cities (these have been previously defined by the University of Vienna) in order to use them as a way to analyze every city in the world and not just European ones. Start from the pillars of Smart City, we have focused on what we consider to be the most important topics: Smart mobility and Smart environment.

Our idea comes from the fact that we all come from different cities and even countries: some of us were born in different Italian cities and others come from Shanghai. While we were sharing our ideas about Smart Cities, due to our cultural, historical and environmental differences, we found out that many of the most important features for Italians weren’t considered vital for the Chinese and vice versa.

We thought that the best way to re-think cities was to merge what Europeans and Chinese considered of outmost importance in order to create a common ground from which we can build a unified model of analysis.
